This part is an electronic device that for example in GM and GE locomotives replaces 3 electromechanical switches TA, TB and TC. It senses temperature of engine cooling water and converts it into analog pulses. But in other devices or machines can be used to sensing the direct temperature and actuate or deactivate or part or magnet valve or whatever else.
